Running Pedometers and Foot Pods, Alternatives to Nike+

Running Pedometers and Foot Pods, Alternatives to Nike+

So, typing in my running numbers earlier today I really started thinking I need to get some sort of tracking device for my new found activity. I've found quite a few options.

1. Nike+ I'm not going there, I will NOT buy an IPod.

2. Garmin Forerunner 50, this might actually work! Best Buy carries it, but I need to figure out if one of the GPS watches might work with a foot pod as well. I would like the GPS functionality in a watch for when the weather does start to get better.

3. Garmin has a few other products, mainly the Garmin Forerunner 305 and the Foot Pod for the 305, I think option 3 is the one I will go with. With my Amazon Prime account i can get it all shipped here overnight for less than most of the retails stores carry just the watch for.

What do you use? A Nike Plus or something else?
