As soon as I click post on this blog post I will be clicking “Install” on the windows update screen to install Vista SP1… Fingers crossed.
Update 1: Cancelled the install, it told me it would take an hour and I wouldn’t be able to use my machine during that time. I’m trying to write DotNetNuke Training documentation, so I’ll save the SP1 install for another time, perhaps later in the morning.
Update 2: I let the installation run when I went to bed last night, everything appears fine this morning. I noticed a few differences with the RDP windows when i tested to make sure my RDP access still worked, but other than that no noticeable difference with SP1 installed yet. I’ll install the latest NVidia drivers tonight and see if SP1 fixed all the issues I’ve had with those over the past year.
